The above image was shared by Dr. Sam Christian, Rebuild Dominica’s Medical Director, and features Nester Phillip in Roseau, Dominica.

Rebuild Dominica Inc. shares the following update from Nester Phillip: journalist and CCGON Coordinator based in Dominica.

Roseau, Dominica (May 13, 2018) – Community Based Organization (CBO) Concerned Citizens Group of Newtown (CCGON) is in a better position to effect community development following a donation of tools and equipment from Rebuild Dominica Inc.

On behalf of CCGON, I write to thank you and your organization, Rebuild Dominica Inc., for your support in procuring much needed items to carry out our community development work.

I can confirm, funds in the amount of eight hundred and fifty two Eastern Caribbean dollars (EC$852) were received by CCGON on Friday, May 2018, and immediately afterwards, it went towards the purchase of one cable winch puller: also known as a ‘come along’ and one printer-scanner combo with ink and paper ream. Certainly, these tools will enable CCGON to competently and creditably carry out its functions: moving bulky source material as part of its charcoal production project and institutional strengthening.

Your support is manifest of human and social development in motion, when Dominicans at home and abroad work together, to help build a prosperous and peaceful nation.

CBN4 News: Strong & Healthy Show Features Ethiopian Relief in Dominica

On May 1, 2018, Rebuild Dominica Inc was featured on the Strong & Healthy Show hosted by Dr. Sam Christian. The feature aired on CBN4 News and included an introduction to Errol Emmanuel — an Agricultural expert and resource member at Rebuild Dominica Inc.

The video also presents a key sponsor of Rebuild Dominica Inc — Mel Tewahade of Infinity Wealth Management. Tewahade is also the Financial Advisor to The Crown Council of Ethiopia.

Within days after Dominica was destroyed from the Category 5 hurricane winds and storm of Maria, Tewahade sprang into action and helped to secure $400,000 USD (aproximately $1,080,000 Easter Caribbean Dollars) from his personal friend, James Jackson — Founder at Project C.U.R.E.

Project C.U.R.E. has been an industry leader in developing new ways to allow the organization to provide the highest quality donated medical supplies and equipment possible to resource-limited communities across the globe, including efficient and accurate inventory systems, supply chain management, expert management of logistics and strong in-country relationships. Project C.U.R.E. also offers numerous domestic and international volunteer opportunities. Since its founding, Project C.U.R.E. has reached patients, families and children in 130 countries.
