Rebuild Dominica Inc. shares the following update from Nester Phillip: journalist and CCGON Coordinator based in Dominica.
Roseau, Dominica (May 13, 2018) – Community Based Organization (CBO) Concerned Citizens Group of Newtown (CCGON) is in a better position to effect community development following a donation of tools and equipment from Rebuild Dominica Inc.
On behalf of CCGON, I write to thank you and your organization, Rebuild Dominica Inc., for your support in procuring much needed items to carry out our community development work.
I can confirm, funds in the amount of eight hundred and fifty two Eastern Caribbean dollars (EC$852) were received by CCGON on Friday, May 2018, and immediately afterwards, it went towards the purchase of one cable winch puller: also known as a ‘come along’ and one printer-scanner combo with ink and paper ream. Certainly, these tools will enable CCGON to competently and creditably carry out its functions: moving bulky source material as part of its charcoal production project and institutional strengthening.
Your support is manifest of human and social development in motion, when Dominicans at home and abroad work together, to help build a prosperous and peaceful nation.
CCGON will keep Rebuild Dominica informed of our work in community development, including the Charcoal project, and we remain committed to working with you for the sustainable development of The Commonwealth of Dominica.
