Rebuild Dominica Inc. is committed to the principle that every day is the National Day. The founders and supporters of Rebuild Dominica are dedicated to regaining the independence, pride, dignity, honor and self-respect that comes with true nationhood. We seek a disciplined and productive nation in the way of agriculture, industry, science, technology and recovery from natural and man-made disasters and the preservation of our proud heritage and natural environment.
This year we are pleased to witness the success of the Cocoa rehabilitation project of the Caribbean Agriculture Network; a partner organization which has benefited from our support over the years. We also are pleased to see the progress of the breadfruit chips project of Tropical Munch agro industries led by Adrienne Bannis of Castle Bruce Dominica. Mr. Bannis benefited from the Rebuild Dominica/Caribbean Agricultural Network breadfruit development partnership with Dr. Julius Garvey – the son of the late great Marcus Mosiah Garvey who is a.strong supporter of Rebuild Dominica. In 2016, Dr. Garvey donated about 400 breadfruit plants to Dominica. Many of those plants survived Hurricane Maria and are now bearing fruit and feeding our people. We intend to do more of such sustainable development projects.
